First, work out whose system your data is in.
If you are a team member inside your employer's Corganize account, your data is controlled by them and we merely store it on their behalf. Contact your company's administrator, who can delete it with one click. If you write to us instead, we will pass the request on and let you know.
If you registered a company yourself, or contacted us through our website, then we are the controller and you should write to us directly.
Deleting the whole company profile
If you are the owner of the company in the system, you can start the deletion yourself: Settings → Danger zone → Delete company profile. No email and no cancellation letter needed.
- The request is followed by a 30-day grace period. You can change your mind at any point during it, and nothing is lost.
- During the grace period the account still works, with a banner showing it is marked for deletion.
- After day 30 the data is permanently deleted: lessons, uploaded files, official documents, messages, progress records and user accounts.
Deleting one person's data
If you only want your own personal data removed, write to support@corganize.com from the email address you registered with. If you write from another address, we will ask for something that identifies you, so that we never delete on someone else's say-so.
What we delete, and what we cannot
| Data | What happens to it |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, account details | Deleted |
| Uploaded content, files, documents | Deleted |
| Messages, submissions, progress | Deleted |
| Sign-in and security logs | Kept for up to 12 months, to investigate misuse |
| Invoices and accounting records | Kept, because the law requires it (typically 6 to 8 years) |
| Backups | Rolls out of the backup cycle within 30 days |
So we cannot delete billing records on request: accounting rules require us to keep them. That is not our choice, and it applies to every provider equally.
Save anything you might need
Deletion is final, and we cannot restore it afterwards. So during the grace period export what you need: Knowledge → Download, and your official documents from the vault. If you need a hand with it, write to us and we will do it.
If you are not satisfied
If you believe we have not handled this properly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), or to your national data protection authority within the EU. Details are in our privacy notice.
