Corganize for restaurants and cafés

Your restaurant shouldn’t run only on the knowledge of your most experienced staff.

A restaurant, café or bar relies on lots of small but important processes every day. How do opening and closing work? What does a new server need to know? Where are the documents the business needs to operate? Corganize helps you keep the answers in a system your team can reach, instead of passing them on by word of mouth and in scattered messages.

A well-run venue has routines that work. It’s worth making them easy to hand over.

When someone new starts, it’s usually the longer-serving staff who show them the daily tasks. That helps a lot, but the result can easily depend on who is available and how much time they have for training. If your opening, closing, cleaning or guest-handling processes aren’t written down, you have to explain the same things again for every new starter.

In Corganize you can write your own operating guides and build a training plan from them that you can reuse for the next new colleague too. That way personal support doesn’t disappear: it can build on a consistent system.

What’s worth organising in one shared system

1

Opening, closing and daily operations

Document the recurring tasks at your venue: how morning prep works, the order in which the team closes, who to turn to when something unexpected happens, and where the house rules are. Your team can look up the important guides in the Knowledge base whenever they need them.

2

Training new staff

A new server, bartender or venue manager each has different things to learn. In Corganize you can put together a role-specific training plan, split into days, from the documents they need. Check their understanding with questions and follow their progress.

3

Important statements and changes

When an internal process changes, you don’t have to rely on everyone hearing about it at shift handover. You can share the updated guide, send it as a statement and, if needed, ask people to confirm it. Tracking acceptance does not replace legally required training or official documentation.

4

Business records and multiple sites

Organise licences, fire safety documents and other company records by venue in Records. If you run more than one site, you can keep shared rules and each venue’s own records in separate places, with targeted access.

Example

A new bartender starts on Friday

Instead of the shift manager having to explain everything verbally, the new colleague receives the documents for running the bar and a training plan. They learn the opening and closing routine, the internal steps for handling orders and the venue’s own rules. The manager can see which parts they have completed and where they still need help in person.

If a procedure changes later, you can update the documentation in Corganize and let the colleagues it affects know directly.
